Picking Up Where I Left Off...

Around 4 years ago I downloaded Headspace on my phone. At the time I was travelling around a lot and was about to start a trip around Italy for a few weeks, I was determined to not miss a day as I wanted to make morning meditation a habit for life.
Headspace offers introduction courses that go through what meditation is, how it works and why it works and everything is super well explained, easy to understand and I think it does a really great job of removing the perceptions about meditation that can put most people off. The moment I discovered meditation I was hooked, I thought it was super interesting, seemed to be really relaxing and had many other benefits too.
So I had started one of the courses, though whilst I was traveling it became more difficult each day to find the time, and even though I did everyday, it started to feel like a real effort to squeeze it into my day. Fast forward to today and although I sometimes meditate when I find the time or feel like I really need it, It is far from a daily practice of mine.
That being said, I want it to be. There have been runs where I'll meditate for some time but it always falls off and as I type, I can't remember the last time I meditated.
So this is me, being accountable and saying that from today I'll meditate more. My goal is to meditate every morning after journaling and before reading.
I'll report back when I've made some progress.

Stay mindful everyone.
